What Does This Part Do?
The AC compressor is the pump of your air-conditioning system. Driven by the engine belt through an electromagnetic clutch, it compresses low-pressure refrigerant gas into high-pressure gas and circulates it through the condenser, expansion valve and evaporator to produce cold air in the cabin.
How to Use This Product
- Check SKU, pulley type and compatibility table against your vehicle
- Recover refrigerant and remove the old compressor and drive belt
- Add the correct grade and quantity of compressor oil before fitting
- Install, re-tension the belt, vacuum, recharge and test clutch engagement
